WV COUNTY TOUR STOP #4: BARBOUR COUNTY For the 4th stop on the WV County tour, Johnny and Noah visited the city of Belington in Barbour County, West Virginia. While in Belington, the field team walked the main strip and talked with local business leaders about West Virginians for Transparency. They even spoke with the Quartermaster at VFW Post 410 about coming to speak at their meeting in July.
The highlight of the trip was attending the Barbour County GOP meeting at a local hotspot “Barbs Restaurant”. Noah spoke to GOP members about their tour of the state and how conservatives need to voice their concerns with the integrity of our elections to Senator Manchin. “West Virginians for Transparency’s goal is to be the conservative counter-balance to election reform talks at the national level. We have to stop the flow of untraceable money in our country and increase the security of our elections. Giving individuals more power in our election process is the best way to preserve and strengthen our liberty.”, said Noah. This message really resonated with the citizens of Barbour County. Noah then read the letter that WV for Transparency is sending to Senator Manchin to encourage him to address these issues (seen below). Many Barbour County GOP members signed on to the letter so that Senator Manchin will know that the residents of Barbour County are tired of special interest groups and dark money taking the power away from “We The People”.
