Take Back Our Republic Action mourns the loss of Carl Anderson, whose bio appeared on our team page until his tragic death days before his 34th birthday this week. Carl was simply tending his yard when a drunk driver swerved off the road and killed him, leaving his four children without a father. The following is Carl’s bio from Our Team page, which is now being taken down. His big launch with us was the February 2022 gathering of all Republican Chairs in Missouri as we networked in the state in the middle of the country where we ran multiple statewide tours.
Listed below is what was his TBOR Action profile:
"Carl Anderson, a former volunteer coordinator who helped TBAF grow the Missouri effort, serves as TBAF Central Field Director where we works with conservative leaders from every corner of the state to implement conservative policy in all 114 Missouri Counties. Anderson, a former farmer and Southern Baptist pastor, is the latest volunteer to be elevated to field position, and is based in Salem, Missouri - less than two hours from both St. Louis and the State Capitol in Jefferson City."
His obituary and a note from a mutual friend follow:
"Stephen Carley Anderson, 33, known to most as Carl, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. Although his death was due to tragedy, Carl knew his hope was in Jesus and desired to serve the Lord for as many days as he was granted. He was from St. Joseph, Missouri. Carl was survived by his wife Taylor and his four children: James, Janelle, Lillian and Everest; his parents: Jonathan and Rachel Anderson; in laws: Brent and Judy Smotherman; his siblings: Annie Tegg (Jon), Janelle Derr (Greg), Wes Smotherman (Cari), Brice Smotherman (Jessie) and Addie Smotherman; 6 Nieces and 4 Nephews and many more extended family who all loved him. A Celebration of Life will be held at Vaughn Funeral Home—18905 ST RT 45 N—Weston, MO. Family visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2023, from 5 – 7 p.m. and Celebration of Life will be Friday, June 2, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. Pastor Tommy Weaver will be officiating. Memorial contributions can be given to the Christian Assembly Church of Weston.
Carl was a deeply caring, good-hearted person – eminently trustworthy, and always intent on helping others. Also, he was married, and had four young children, and he worked really hard to support his family. As you might imagine, they’re in a rough spot now."
